Eleinor of Shades of Healing Acupuncure had an opportunity to move to China and lived in Shanghai for three years with her family. Leaving behind her career in Graphic Design and Photography and starting something new she embarked on a complete different path. With interest in the bodies natural energy system Eleinor began studying Acupuncture at the renowned Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHUTCM). During Eleinor's time in China she had the opportunity to shadow Masters and Specialists of TCM in Private consultations and Public Hospitals throughout Shanghai on a daily basis, observing learning and practising the ancient and modern knowledge and techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Since returning from China, Eleinor has continued her studies,
she has obtained her Licentiate in Acupuncture from The College of Medical Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a member of AFPA. Presently she works from her clinic in her garden, nestled under the shade of a very large horse chestnut tree, enjoying what each new day adds to the energy of life.
ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in China and Asian countries. It has gained more credability in the last few decades and many western medical scientists are
now beginning to recognise and promote its effectiveness in helping to heal a wide range
of problems. Acupuncture works by inserting fine needles into acupoints, stimulating and balancing the bodies energy system
COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE
Cosmetic Acupuncture is a natural skin rejuvenation method using the body's healing energies. It increases circulation which in turn helps to rid the skin of wrinkles, fine lines and folds. Cosmetic acupuncture treatments, are performed by inserting tiny needles into regions of the body and face to unblock ones 'qi' or vital energy.
